FM-200® (HFC-227ea) Clean Agent fire extinguishing systems are the most widely used of all the halocarbon gaseous agents, and is universally accepted as the best agent used to replace Halon 1301. FM-200® is a chemical agent used primarily in total flooding systems and extinguishes fires by removing heat from the fire triangle, making it suitable for protecting valuable assets in occupied areas. Ideal for data centres, telecommunications facilities, and areas with high-value assets.

Novec 1230 is a newer fire suppression agent that is quickly gaining popularity for its clean, eco-friendly, and safe characteristics. It extinguishes fires by absorbing heat, reducing temperatures to a point where combustion can no longer continue. Ideal for data centres, telecommunications facilities, and areas with high-value assets.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the oldest and most widely used gaseous fire suppression agents. It is highly effective in smothering fires by displacing the oxygen needed for combustion. Particularly suitable for electrical hazards, flammable liquid fires, and spaces where the fire might grow quickly.

Inergen is a clean, environmentally friendly fire suppression gas made up of natural components, including nitrogen, argon, and a small amount of carbon dioxide. Unlike CO2, Inergen is safe for use in occupied spaces as it reduces oxygen levels to below what is needed for combustion, but not to the point where human life is endangered.

Fire suppression sprinkler systems are automatic fire protection systems that use water to control and extinguish fires. They consist of a network of pipes connected to sprinkler heads, which release water when triggered by heat or smoke. These systems are designed to reduce property damage and minimize the risk of loss of life by quickly addressing the fire at its source. There are wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems, each with different activation mechanisms and water storage methods.

Sprinkler Systems

Deluge systems are designed to discharge large amounts of water over a specific area, typically for protecting high-hazard areas or those prone to fast-spreading fires. Deluge sprinkler systems have open sprinklers or open spray nozzles and are used where it is desirable to discharge water through all of the system's sprinklers or nozzles simultaneously. Prior to discharge there is no water in the sprinkler piping. The water supply is held back by a deluge control valve which is operated manually or automatically by the actuation of a fire detection system which could be Wet Pilot Sprinkler Line (Hydraulic Actuated System), Dry Pilot Sprinkler (Pneumatic Actuated System) and Smoke or Heat Detectors (Electric Actuated System).

Water spray systems are deluge systems that use only water and are used for fire control, extinguishing, cooling, prevention, and/or exposure protection of industrial hazardous locations.

Water mist systems are fire suppression systems that use very small water droplets to extinguish or control fires. A high-pressure water mist fire suppression system uses extremely fine water droplets to extinguish or control fires. This system forces water through specialized nozzles, creating a fine mist that vaporizes, rapidly reducing the temperature of the fire and surrounding area.

Foam systems combine water with a foaming agent to create a foam that smothers the flames, preventing oxygen from reaching the fire. These systems are particularly effective for Class B fires involving flammable liquids.
